Congratulations to Dr. MacKenzie Patterson who succesfully defended her PhD thesis in June!
Dr. Patterson is continuing her journey at Brandeis as a postdoctoral fellow in Alex Johnson’s Lab; we wish her all the best on behalf of the Kern Lab. Keep in touch!
This past summer we had to say goodbye to Hannah and Dolapo! We wish them the best in the new chapters of their journeys in Madison and Chicago.
We are saying good bye to Aedan and Gilbert following our move to Scripps. The two athlete-scientists will continue their journeys in both basketball and research. The Kern lab is excited to see what they will accomplish next!
Doro and the Kern lab will be moving to Scripps Research in San Diego this coming October, where she will join the Department of Integrative Structural and Computational Biology as a Professor and will remain an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. While we are leaving Brandeis University filled with gratitude and appreciation, the lab is excited to join an excellent scientific community with a vision for groundbreaking research.
